OUR HISTORY
In August of 2009, Attys. Ruel De Guzman, Linus T. Galias, and Jean Francois D. Rivera III came together to put up the Firm then known as De Guzman Galias & Rivera Law Offices. Before then, Attys. De Guzman and Galias were partners at the Soriano Velez & Partners. Atty. Rivera, meanwhile, brought with him a wealth of experience in litigation and dispute resolution, taxation and corporation law from Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices – one of the leading law offices in the country.
The Firm began as a boutique outfit operating out of a twenty-four (24) square meter leased space in Timog Avenue, Quezon City. Along with a number of more established clients, the Firm catered to a broad range of clients on a wide spectrum of legal concerns ranging from the everyday kind to the more sophisticated and complex ones. The Firm positioned itself as the premiere law firm in Quezon City. Slowly and steadily growing, the Firm moved its base of operations in 2015 to Eastwood City, one of the foremost commercial hubs in Quezon City.
Spurred on by a continuously developing client base that now includes several multinational companies and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) locators, both well known and up and coming corporate players, as well as other well known personalities, the Firm decided that it was time to acquire its own office and move closer to the epicenter of the economic marketplace. Beginning in October 2017, the Firm calls the Prestige Tower, located in the heart of the Ortigas Business Center in Pasig City, its home.
